Contact form and e-mail
When you write to us through the contact form or by e-mail, we process your name, e-mail address and message to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract and our legitimate interest in communicating with guests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Messages are delivered to our e-mail and kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting stay.
Bookings and payments
Online bookings are made through the Bookolo booking system; we use booking data to provide your stay (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Invoices may be paid through the Klix payment service.
Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
Technical data on this website
The website is hosted on Vercel. To measure page speed we use Vercel Speed Insights, which collects anonymous performance metrics and sets no cookies.
The territory map uses Google Maps; when it loads, Google may process your IP address under its own privacy policy. Weather data is fetched from Holfuy and MET Norway through our server without passing on your data.
Cookies and browser storage
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser only stores your chosen language and whether you closed a notice; this is not sent to us.
Sharing data
We share data only with the service providers needed for the purposes above (hosting, e-mail, booking and payment systems) or where the law requires it. Where a provider is outside the EU/EEA, transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, write to info@kapteinuosta.lv.
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (www.dvi.gov.lv).
